I have an interest and read lots of books on real estate.
Brian dug down deep. He did his research. He even called on brokers and asked
questions, he went all ballsies on his research. I want to point out since I believe
this was missed on other reviews I looked at before I bought this book but he
only does basic financials in here, he says the other financials that need to
be done is for the professionals, the accountants, your account. It’s very
important you get an accountant. I love how he did the chapters. He would have
quotes from people like Seth Godin, or Robert Kiyosaki, he even used the Holy
Bible. These quotes would be at the beginning and sometime you found one in the
middle of the chapter. Then he would talk about something and then an example
like in chapter one he talks about financials, basic financials. He would state
how he would figure it out and then give an example like if a house you put 25%
down every dollar you spend is worth $4 in value. And then he would close out
the chapter with a short personal example about the Solar Building project. Well
at least most of them, eight times. At the end of the book he would give in the
appendix his formulas again. then the next appendix is a group of professionals
you should have on your team, then a list of commercial property types some
resources and after the appendix came A glossary of basic real estate terms,
terms I believe every real estate investor should know. He also said his story
in the introduction, how he quit his technology job to teach, but teaching didn’t
pay the bills basically so he tried it in real estate. If you are looking on
the right way to get into Real Estate, especially commercial this is your book
to read and study, Take notes!
